Why shouldn’t I say Merry Christmas?

Why shouldn’t I say Merry Christmas?

As you are at the stationary store looking through the Christmas Greeting Cards, why shouldn’t I say Merry Christmas?

While at the mall shopping for Christmas Presents and Wrapping Paper with Ribbon, why shouldn’t I say Merry Christmas?

When you are at the hardware store buying Christmas lights, an inflatable Santa (with or without his reindeer) and various other lighted items such as carolers or elves, why shouldn’t I say Merry Christmas?

As you leave the Christmas Tree Lot with your Christmas Tree, why shouldn’t I say Merry Christmas?

Later as you are purchasing Christmas Decorations like strings of Christmas lights, Christmas ornaments and tinsel, why shouldn’t I say Merry Christmas?

When you invite me over to your house all lit up with lights, Santa with his reindeer and elves, your tree all lit and decorated with tinsel glittering and you hand me your greeting card and a gaily-wrapped gift, why shouldn’t I say Merry Christmas?

Please, let me share the joy I have in celebrating the birth of the One who gives me hope who is Jesus Christ. I’m not trying to convert you, I’m not saying anything about the faith you may or may not have, I’m just saying Merry Christmas.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!! So…
